3 Shows Cancelled But US Tour Announced!
hey everyone, due to circumstances beyond west indian girl’s control we were forced to cancel 3 upcoming shows (see below). the first two are ones with The Coral in San Francisco and Seattle and the third is the massive Street Scene in San Diego. yes, this totally sucks…believe me when i say that we are way more bummed about this than you are.

BUT…on the bright side of the things we are announcing our first official U.S. tour with Turin Brakes who are also on astralwerks. this tour is going to be a great summer treat so mark these dates down as it will be our first time in many of these cities. more dates might also be added at the end of this tour so stay tuned for more info.

When you come back to Sacramento you need to play at Harlow’s. That would be the perfect venue for you to play in our little cow town.
At the Heritage Festival I just sat back and listened to all of the comments… you blew a lot of people away.

I can’t believe the show is cancelled in Seattle! But…
Since your next one is at the Croc again, I’m assuming its going to be a 21+ show. Try and make it all ages for me and Grace PLEASE! But we need to go, and you’re coming on my BIRTHDAY. It’d be an awesome birthday present, so ALL AGES PLEASE!

hey ana – i think it’s 18 and up – maybe we can get u in to our soundcheck at the very least. call 313.833.9700 ext.203 and ask if it’s gonna be an ages show. while you’re at it tell them to put west indian girl on their site….we’re gonna have that place packed for sure.

I was bummed you aren’t going to be paying Street Scene, but now it doesn’t really matter because I’ll catch either your SD or LA show a week later. I’d never even heard of West Indian Girl until I was bored one night and decided to look into the bands playing Street Scene that I was unfamiliar with. Grabbed some tracks off iTunes and was instantly hooked and since have been talking you guys up to the whole crew I’ll be going to SS with, so naturally I was bummed when you magically disappeared from the lineup. But no worries, the important thing is that I found you guys and my ears have been soaking up WIG like crazy over the past few weeks. Can’t wait to see you live!
